A book "The New system of fencing by a sabre for an infantry" is a manual, specially worked out Бертоном in 70th of the XIX century on the basis of new techniques and methodologies of fencing in the armies of Europe. A book contains criticism of lacks of the previous systems of fencing, exposition of him so-called "манжетной system" (systems of shots in a hand) and suggestions on the improvement of construction of hilt of sabre (in an appendix).
