"Ванька-ротный" is a sincere recital of difficult soldiery week-days of rifle officer of Great Patriotic War. Narrating about adversities, that grasped millions of red army soldiers at the front in a period from August 1941 for April, 1944, an author represented events with striking naturalistic. The edited and processed manuscript is presented in this edition. For veracity of author, in particular, for his criticism of role and place higher command, a book long time it was refused to print, but exactly this genuine honesty and allows to say us, that these remembrances are a truthful story of war hero.
