The monograph is the first Russian-language study of the existential-phenomenological tradition in psychiatry. Analyzing, based on original texts and biographical materials, the main ideas of representatives of phenomenological psychiatry and existential analysis (K. Jaspers, E. Minkowski, V. E. von Gebzattel, E. Strauss, L. Binswanger, M. Boss, etc.) and building a panorama of their formation and development, the author includes the tradition in question in the philosophical context of the 20th century.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
