The real events related to activity of especially hushed up soviet контрразведчика Арсения Чена on the name of Марейкис are described in a novel, that used in the work receptions in style of famous spies of antiquity - ниндзя. Among his agents there were officers and generals of the Japanese army, and by favourite methods is a theft of secret documents from the safes of the Japanese embassy in Moscow and bringing in to work of wide network specially prepared Russian women. He was arrested during the Stalin repressions, but survived, managing to deceive ежовских investigators. At the same time Japanese secret service considered him the most valuable agent in the USSR.
