Автор майстерно створює атмосферу безнадії та безвиході, де читач відчуває себе частиною цього напівзруйнованого Міста, яке забирає пам'ять і залишає лише страх. Сюжет сповнений інтриг і загадок, а персонажі, хоч і позбавлені імен, вражають своєю глибиною і емоційністю. Описані битви з ордами немертвих та пошуки відповідей на запитання про своє існування тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки.
