Лідія Мілле майстерно поєднує елементи дорослішання з трилерними моментами, створюючи напружену атмосферу, яка тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Діти, які спостерігають за безпорадністю дорослих, змушені взяти на себе відповідальність за своє виживання, що ставить під сумнів традиційні уявлення про владу і контроль. Алюзії на Біблію та класичні літературні твори додають глибини і багатогранності сюжету, змушуючи читача замислитися про моральні дилеми, які постають перед героями. Переклад, хоча і має деякі недоліки, не заважає насолоджуватися цією захоплюючою історією. Рекомендую всім, хто любить літературу, що викликає роздуми і емоції!
