The book is dedicated to the history of Soviet samizdat of the post-war period and the fate of its authors. It examines the main types of socio-political samizdat (open letters and appeals, collections of documents, periodicals, materials of trials), classic and little-studied samizdat texts. In addition, considerable attention is paid to provincial student literary and journalistic amateur periodicals, which until recently have not been introduced into the practice of scientific comprehension. The work analyzes the concept of “samizdat” and the problem of classifying samizdat texts. The book is intended for a wide range of readers interested in the phenomenon of dissent in Soviet history.

Автори детально досліджують різні аспекти самвидаву, зокрема соціально-політичні тексти, які стали голосом тих, хто не міг висловити свої думки відкрито. Книга пропонує глибокий аналіз як класичних, так і маловивчених текстів, що дозволяє читачеві зрозуміти контекст і значення цих документів. Особливо вражає увага до провінційної студентської літератури, яка часто залишається поза увагою дослідників. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, загальна якість роботи вражає. Це видання стане в нагоді не лише науковцям, а й усім, хто прагне зрозуміти складну та багатогранну історію радянського суспільства.
