Книга "Другий син" вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною наповненість. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу похмурого світу, де холодне море і загадкові береги Сейлока стають фоном для неймовірної історії про Гіслу та Хеда. Їхній зв'язок, укладений у магії рун, стає основою сюжету, який переплітає теми жертви, кохання та боротьби за свободу. Яскраві персонажі, зокрема сліпий хлопчик Хед, який може бачити лише завдяки пісням Гісли, залишають незабутнє враження. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, і в ньому є деякі недоліки, загальна якість перекладу не заважає насолоджуватися історією.
