The main attention in the book by R. Balandin and S. Mironov is given to internal party conflicts, the struggle for power, conspiracies against Stalin and his supporters. The authors are convinced that the conclusions about the existence of a counter-revolutionary underground, the danger of a new civil war or a coup d'etat are not an exaggeration. Since the time of Khrushchev, a considerable part of secret materials has been destroyed, “cleaned up” or still remains inaccessible to the public press. In our time, facts are being hidden that testify in favor of the USSR and its leader. All often dubious information that could discredit the name and deeds of Stalin was made public. Meanwhile, Stalin’s repressions were directed not against the people, but against certain social groups, mainly against leading officials. And the scale of political repression was far from being as great as the anti-Soviet propaganda of foreign ideological centers and degenerates of the nomenklatura presents.
