The work is devoted to a little-studied and painful issue in the history of Soviet-Polish relations. On a broad documentary basis, which is based on archival materials, a real picture of the situation of prisoners of war, internees, hostages and refugees in Russia and Poland in 1918-1923 is presented. The complex process of development and subsequent implementation of agreements on their exchange between the two countries is shown.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
