The documentary story “Biro-Bidzhan” by the famous Jewish writer Meer Alberton, who was one of the first to arrive at the Tikhonkaya station in 1928, was published in 1930 in Ukrainian, translated from Hebrew, and became a kind of summary of the writer’s stay on the Biro-Bidzhan land . Readers are presented with a book in Russian translated by Victoria Demikhova and literary adaptation by Lydia Koputsyna. Translation and literary adaptation of the collection was carried out with the financial support of the All-Russian public organization “Russian Geographical Society”
