Before writing any book, it is necessary to determine some methodological principles that will guide the author. The book is structured according to the simplest chronological principle: a chapter is a work. The author does not adhere to the now extremely widespread “biographical” method and does not seek to interpret everything that is written by the authors through their biography. The author does not try to replace literary criticism with embryology. These are different sciences. The history of the creation of most works is well known. It is known how they changed and modified, sometimes very strongly. But the reader is dealing with a finished work. It is analyzed. Naturally, each author has his own view of his own work. It is even more natural that every reader (including a critic) has the right to his own view of the work of this very writer. It is quite natural that these views do not coincide and it is completely unnatural that their discrepancy always causes stormy criticism and objections.
