As a child, Sandy Short couldn't stand it when things got lost. It cost her nothing to spend several days searching for a sock that had gone missing - to the bewilderment of her parents, who eventually insisted that her daughter begin visiting a school psychologist. As an adult, she joins the police and then opens her own agency to search for missing people. The investigation of another case leads Sandy to Limerick, where her traces are lost. A car abandoned on the side of the road along with important documents and a mobile phone looks more than strange. Is Sandy really destined to repeat the fate of those she is looking for?
