Автор зумів зберегти атмосферу напруги і таємниці, що притаманна попереднім томам, і при цьому додати нові елементи, які роблять історію ще більш захоплюючою. Головний герой, який намагається знайти своє місце в світі, що змінився, викликає співчуття та симпатію. Його стосунки з хворим пацієнтом, який стає його послідовником, додають сюжету людяності та емоційності. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має свої недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією.
