Anna and Georgy got married out of desperation - simply because they had to eventually find someone. But they never became close people - so much so that Georgy didn’t even tell his wife that he grew up in an orphanage. After the divorce, Anna suggested dividing the children: Anton stays with his father, the youngest daughter Yulka stays with her mother. No one thought about how the children would feel. Adults, burned by their own pain, were unable to protect children from pain. But, fortunately, children often turn out to be wiser than their parents.

Книга "Навпіл" Маші Трауб – це справжній витвір мистецтва, який змушує читача поринути у світ глибоких почуттів та переживань героїв. Авторка майстерно передає емоції своїх персонажів, і читач відчуває їхній біль, радість та розчарування, немов це відбувається з ним самим. Історія Георгія, який виріс у дитячому будинку, і його складні стосунки з родиною, змушують задуматися про важливість емоційної підтримки та розуміння в родинних стосунках. Книга також піднімає важливі питання про те, як минуле впливає на наше сьогодення і як діти, незважаючи на всі труднощі, можуть виявитися мудрішими за дорослих. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, я вважаю, що ця книга варта уваги. Вона залишає глибокий слід у душі і змушує переосмислити багато аспектів життя. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує літературу, що торкається серця!
