Книга "Руйнівник кораблів" занурює читача у вражаючий і жорстокий світ майбутнього, де ресурси вичерпані, а прірва між бідними та багатими стає дедалі глибшою. Автор майстерно малює картину занедбаних міст і затоплених берегів Мексиканської затоки, де підлітки змушені боротися за виживання, видобуваючи кольорові метали з покинутих нафтових танкерів. Ця книга не лише про фізичну боротьбу, але й про внутрішню боротьбу персонажів, які намагаються знайти своє місце у світі, що руйнується. Вони стикаються з моральними дилемами, вибираючи між шляхетністю та егоїзмом, що робить їх історії ще більш захоплюючими. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, я вважаю, що ця книга варта уваги. Вона спонукає до роздумів про сучасні проблеми суспільства та цінності, які ми обираємо. Рекомендую всім, хто любить глибокі та емоційні пригоди!
