The stormy, full of adventures and adventures of the famous French writer Gustave Aimard (1818–1883) became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for his work. He traveled halfway around the world, sailed across the seas and oceans, and fought. Twenty years of travel allowed the future writer to stock up on exciting stories for future use. He wrote seventy novels that were published in huge numbers. This volume includes three novels from the “Kings of the Ocean” series: “The Treasure of Cartagena,” “The Brotherhood of the Shore,” and “Sea Titans.” The heroes of these books are the famous filibusters Handsome Laurent and the pirate nicknamed Iron Head Bear, whose names terrified the captains of the Spanish galleons. Of course, there are insidious enemies, loyal friends, cunning intrigues, dizzying adventures, and, of course, love. The book reproduces illustrations made by French artists for the first editions of these novels.
