Knight William Orvandunald, who lost his lands, has been making his living by participating in tournaments for several years now. Unfortunately, he is not able to reach any special heights, because magicians are always head and shoulders above ordinary mortals, and their fights are much more spectacular, as are their fees. After his next performance, for which the sir knight receives a pittance, Wilhelm accidentally catches a dialogue between the customer and the free brothers. Having heard how much they sometimes offer mercenaries for their work, the former knight immediately decides to try to assemble his own squad. But there is no such thing as easy money.
