The novel that opens this volume of the classic of world fiction tells the story of Podkain Fries, a citizen of the Martian Republic, a girl who went with her brother Clark and Uncle Tom on a journey to Earth through Venus - a journey that was quite predictable, but ended with an unpredictable result. The second novel (“Citizen of the Galaxy”) tells the story of the life of Thorby, an earthly boy who was kidnapped by space slave traders in early childhood, but threw off the shackles of slavery and paved his way to the stars. Both novels are published in a new edition.
