Lida and Alexey, students of the Literary Institute, are renting a room, which they think is very good - not far from the center, inexpensive. This is an unusual commission from a publisher - to write a sequel to Charles Dickens's last novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Trying to decipher the true destinies and motives of Dickens's heroes, Lida begins to feel some connection between that long-standing ominous history and her current misadventures.

Ця книга вразила мене своєю глибиною та емоційною напругою. Ліда та Олексій, студенти, які намагаються знайти своє місце в житті, потрапляють у незвичайну ситуацію, коли Олексій зникає безслідно. Автор майстерно переплітає сучасність з класикою літератури, адже Ліда отримує замовлення на написання продовження роману Чарльза Діккенса, що додає сюжету особливої атмосфери та загадковості. Читач відчуває, як Ліда намагається розгадати не лише таємниці свого життя, але й таємниці героїв Діккенса, що робить її подорож ще більш захоплюючою. Хоча в тексті є деякі недоліки через переклад, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить літературу, таємниці і, звісно, романтику!
