The famous icon of Andrei Rublev “Trinity” was stolen from the Tretyakov Gallery. To the amazement of the young art scholar, the police discover this icon in the trunk of his car. An absolutely innocent person was convicted. His grief-stricken wife, in complete despair, tries to commit suicide, but the former stuntman Sergei Dorogin, who happened to be nearby, holds her back from the last, most terrible step.
