The first volume of the work of the famous Polish historian, as well as the governor of the kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria as part of Austria-Hungary, is dedicated to the presentation of events from the birth of the Polish state to the divisions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the end of the 18th century. Analyzing archival documents, critically comprehending numerous works of other scientists, the author impartially presents historical facts, making it possible to understand the deep processes that took place at that time not only in Poland, but throughout Europe, as well as to understand the causes of many events of today. Цей перший том праці відомого польського історика є справжнім відкриттям для всіх, хто цікавиться історією не лише Польщі, а й Європи в цілому. Автор майстерно аналізує архівні документи, що дозволяє йому не тільки викласти факти, але й проникнути в глибинні процеси, які формували польську державність. Книга охоплює величезний період, від зародження держави до поділів Речі Посполитої, і робить це з неймовірною увагою до деталей. Хоча переклад тексту, виконаний за допомогою штучного інтелекту, іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю матеріалу. Я вважаю, що ця книга стане незамінним джерелом знань для студентів, істориків та всіх, хто прагне глибше зрозуміти історію Польщі та її вплив на розвиток Європи. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує якісну історичну літературу!
