У цій книзі ми зустрічаємо Берні Гюнтера в Аргентині, де він намагається втекти від свого минулого, але, як завжди, його не покидають проблеми. Сюжет наповнений напругою і несподіваними поворотами, а детективні розслідування Гюнтера тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Керр майстерно вплітає історичні деталі, що робить роман не лише захоплюючим, але й пізнавальним.
