Adam Wedemann is a poet and prose writer, whose original life and creative philosophy makes him one of the most notable young authors in Poland. In his cycle of stories, he turns to the most prosaic details of life (which is why he is classified by critics as “banalists”), but in at the same time, he easily and unobtrusively touches upon the most complex topics of metaphysical and philosophical nature. A writer of a new generation, he writes without pathos, as if “by the way,” playing a kind of game: he leaves riddles everywhere and does not suggest answers to them.
