Yuri Olesha is a famous master of prose who has firmly taken his place in the literature of the twentieth century. His famous novels "Envy" and "Three Fat Men" are known and loved by many. They brought him real fame. It seemed that Olesha was destined to rise higher and higher on the wave of his success, but in the early thirties the writer fell silent for a long time. After reading the book, we learn a lot about the writer, about his personal life, his tragedy. “The Book of Farewell” is the most frank, the saddest and the most a wise book that Olesha wrote for the rest of his life. The writer’s notes, which were also included in the book, were never published. These recordings combine original and poignant interpretations of the events of “big life” and lyrical confession, reflections on the meaning of life and the literary process.
