Georgy Pavlovich Tushkan (1906–1965) is a wonderful Russian writer, traveler, and veteran of the Great Patriotic War. He wrote little, but almost every book of his was an event in literature. The novel “FAU Hunters” (1961) is a fascinating, lively story about the everyday life of front-line intelligence. Senior Lieutenant Bazhenov’s group has a special “specialization”: collecting and checking operational information about all the enemy’s military innovations, be it a new automatic carbine, a hand grenade launcher or... a secret plant for the production of “weapons of retaliation.”

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
