Our main theme is love. Dictator's love. Peter the Great, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler - each of them had favorite women. It also looks alien in the vocabulary of the era over which their disastrous shadow fell. And it seems completely absurd that in that life happiness and love do not combine in any way, and vice versa - love and unhappiness continue one another. And the fact that this is so is the first abnormality that allows us to understand all the others.
