Книга «Загибельний клинок» - це справжня знахідка для всіх шанувальників наукової фантастики та всесвіту Warhammer 40K. Автор вдало поєднує елементи «твердої» науки з божевільними військовими пригодами, створюючи захоплюючу та динамічну історію. Війна з орками в системі Калідар представлена не лише як битва, а й як глибоке дослідження людських стосунків, старих забобонів та моральних дилем. Персонажі, зокрема лейтенант Маркен Кортейн Ло Банник, розкриваються у всій своїй складності, що робить їх близькими та зрозумілими читачеві. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, загальна якість оповіді та емоційна напруга компенсують це.
