“Everybody kills their lovers,” Oscar Wilde once said, and with these words he sadly and brilliantly formulated a certain phenomenon that existed centuries before him and will, alas, exist centuries after. It will always exist as long as there are lovers and loved ones in the world, because love is not always mutual and it does not always bring only happiness. Man is an imperfect creature. And, unfortunately, not very kind. If he is offended that his beloved or loved one underestimates him, if his feelings are not returned, he is inclined to become embittered, and sometimes even take revenge.
