Journalist Rika gets the idea to write a series of articles about Manako Kajii, a woman suspected of extortion and murder of her own fans. Trying to gain the trust of Manako, the journalist does not notice how she herself finds herself in a web of manipulation and lies, gradually losing control over her own life... Автор майстерно поєднує елементи трилера та психологічної драми, створюючи напружену атмосферу, в якій читач відчуває кожен поворот сюжету. Історія журналістки Ріки, яка намагається розкрити таємницю Манако Кадзії, тримає в напрузі до самого кінця. Вражає, як автор зумів показати, як легко можна потрапити в пастку маніпуляцій і брехні, а також як зовнішній вигляд може вводити в оману. Книга не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися про природу людських стосунків, довіру та обман. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовим сюжетом та глибокими персонажами. Рекомендую всім, хто любить захоплюючі історії з елементами психологічного трилера!
