The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan, popularly called the “Black Lake,” is a place where legends about the inflexibility of criminal authorities collapsed and the concepts of thieves’ friendship evaporated. There, on the “Black Lake”, the criminals were overtaken by the inevitability of punishment that seemed ephemeral to them. The author of the work takes the reader to the distant “bloody” 90s of the last century. The plot contains real events of those times when a bandit bullet was the main argument in the decision of all commercial disputes. The characters in the work and many of the events described are fictitious. Possible similarities between the characters and real people are purely coincidental.

Книга "Кара" є справжнім зануренням у світ кримінальних реалій Татарстану, що вражає своєю атмосферою та правдоподібністю. Автор майстерно передає дух епохи, коли злочинність процвітала, а поняття честі та дружби в злочинному світі ставали все більш розмитими. Читачі можуть відчути всю жорстокість і безвихідь тих часів, коли "Чорне озеро" стало символом невідворотності покарання для злочинців. Хоча герої вигадані, їхні переживання та емоції настільки реалістичні, що важко не співпереживати їм. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які можуть відволікати від сюжету, загальна якість тексту та глибина теми роблять цю книгу вартою уваги. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться історією кримінального світу та хоче зрозуміти, як формувалися легенди про злочинців у нашій країні.
