In Hemlock Grove, the Godfrey family is almost a city-forming family; its young representative, Roman, is a spoiled and attractive young man with strange and sometimes frightening inclinations. Peter Rumancek is a young gypsy who recently arrived in this town and immediately became the object of rumors. Suddenly the city is shaken by a tragedy - the corpse, or rather part of it, of a young girl, torn by an unknown beast, is found. Both Peter and Roman are eager to find the killer and team up to investigate. Soon this union develops into a strange friendship, and the young people learn that the city in which they live is not as simple as it seems. In 2012, a series of the same name was filmed based on the book.
