Автор майстерно малює картину хаосу, злочинності та безвладдя, в якій молодий злодюжка-босяк намагається знайти своє місце в новому світі. Його прагнення стати співробітником радянської міліції надає сюжету динаміки та інтриги. Читач відчуває всі труднощі, з якими стикається герой, намагаючись залишити своє минуле позаду та боротися за справедливість у світі, де панує беззаконня. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися глибокою історією та емоційними переживаннями персонажів. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить історичні романи з елементами криміналу та соціальної драми!
