You'll never hear a voice like this one at Carnegie Hall again.

At the heart of playwright Peter Quilter's touching and funny tragicomedy, Incomparable! - the incredible but true story of the life of Florence Foster Jenkins, undoubtedly the worst singer in the world, extremely eccentric and equally mediocre. Madame Jenkins, an American soprano, who became fantastically popular and even famous despite the complete lack of vocal abilities and the eternal failure to hit the right rhythm and key. At the same time, Florence was unshakably confident in her talent, beauty, and vocal talent, fearlessly including the most famous opera roles, Russian, English folk and Italian songs in her repertoire. It's hard to believe, but Madame Jenkins even managed to release several of her records, which were later released on CD. Fragments of her speeches have been preserved and can be heard on the Internet. Her public credo became the phrase: “People may say that I can’t sing, but no one will dare say that I don’t sing!” Among Florence Jenkins' fans were many celebrities, such as composer Col Porter, who, paying tribute to her courage and love of music, laughed to tears at her concerts... The culmination of Florence's creative career was an evening at the legendary New York Carnegie Hall, where all 3,000 seats were sold out long before the concert, and speculators easily sold tickets at ten times the price. And the audience was not disappointed, on the contrary, it was in ecstasy, literally sobbing with delight and... laughter... The music that sounded in it was beautiful and sublime, and Florence really had no idea what the sounds of her voice had to do with this music nothing in common. But the play “Incomparable!” - not about singing as such, and not even about incredible fate. It is about an extraordinary woman who had the strength, courage and self-confidence to make her wildest and most beautiful dreams come true, and, as few others have been able to, entertain thousands of people. The play is masterfully written, full of humor and color, that’s probably what it is. explains its phenomenal box office success, when in just the first 5 years it was staged on all continents, translated into 15 languages, played more than 1,200 times and attracted more than 1 million (!) viewers. Many stars of the world opera and theater stage shone in it.
