Книга "Жінки на дев'ятій вулиці. Том 3" Мері Габріель є справжнім відкриттям для всіх, хто цікавиться історією мистецтва та роллю жінок у ньому. Авторка майстерно висвітлює еволюцію абстракціонізму, показуючи, як п'ять видатних художниць - Лі Краснер, Елен де Кунінг, Грейс Хартіган, Джоан Мітчелл та Хелен Франкенталер - вплинули на мистецький світ у період з 1920-х до початку 1960-х років. Книга занурює читача в контекст Другої світової війни, культурних та економічних потрясінь, які формували творчість цих жінок. Мені особливо сподобалося, як Габріель показує, що попри всі труднощі, ці художниці змогли знайти свій голос і створити неперевершені роботи. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, загальна якість викладу та глибина аналізу роблять цю книгу цінним ресурсом для всіх, хто хоче зрозуміти, як жінки вплинули на розвиток мистецтва. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться не лише мистецтвом, а й історією, культурою та гендерними питаннями!
