Oliver Meek is a fifty-year-old accountant who dreams of flying around the solar system. For thirty years he's been saving up for his ship. First stop is Asteroid City on Juno, a city where you have to keep your eyes open and your hands on the blaster handles. Mick meets a local prospector in a bar, obsessed with the idea of finding a lost mine that hides untold riches. But this is hampered by the mythical Asteroid Marauder - a mysterious beast whose existence many do not believe. There, while playing cards, Mick catches the best shooter in the city of cheating, and then knocks the weapon out of his hands with a shot, earning himself the reputation of a dashing adventurer. That same evening, the city fathers offer Mick to take the post of sheriff and clear the city of a gang of criminals. Will Mick have the courage to accept such an offer, and what does it mean for him?
