The characters in this tragicomedy, inhabitants of the slums of a modern big city, are ordinary losers. Fate passed them by, giving them no inheritance, no success, no love. Some, in a series of failures, have hardened their souls; their hearts are not alien only to selfish motives. Others, on the contrary, as if in spite of everything, retained their kindness and responsiveness. Pamela Cronkey, the main character of the play, is one of such touching, naive and charming creatures. Her boundless faith in people cannot be shaken by any adversity. She is ready to forgive her offenders, even if they want to kill her, she is ready to love life, rejoicing in every new day given to her by fate. It’s as if she is pushing a heavy trolley of fate along the rails of life, resisting circumstances... The intrigue, invented by three dodgy adventurers eager to receive insurance after the death of a meek old woman, fails, thanks to Pamela’s foresight, who wisely and boldly relates to any life situation.
