The book was written by Abbie Hoffman in 1970 and published in 1971. It contains tips on how to grow marijuana, how to start your own pirate radio station, and how to live in a commune while stealing food and small goods from stores. It also gave advice on stealing credit cards, making homemade bombs, and much more. Most stores refused to sell this book because many customers followed the advice on its cover.
