Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel was at the forefront of the creation of the regular German army after Hitler came to power in 1933. An international tribunal accused him, as one of the organizers of the Second World War, of committing crimes against humanity. Wilhelm Keitel's "Memoirs" offered to the reader were written in a Nuremberg prison after the death sentence was passed. A few weeks before the execution of the sentence, the Field Marshal of the Wehrmacht tried to comprehend his fate and the reasons for the inglorious end of the Third Reich. The book is intended for a wide range of readers.
