A series of stories about the Siberian adventures of investigator Oleg Beroev. The story “Cold Waters of the Arctic” tells about a journey through the stormy Laptev Sea and the Lena Delta to the Evenki village of Ystannakh-Khocho, where the foundation of the country’s northernmost school is underway. Along the way, crew members die one after another under mysterious circumstances. And Beroev takes up the investigation. “Incognito from the Ministry of Internal Affairs” touches on corruption cases and cases of poaching among high-ranking officials. And “Swamp Grandfather” is the story of the search for a uranium mine and an abandoned death camp in Transbaikalia. Beroev leads his comrades through the swamp and comes out to an unknown village surrounded by an impassable swamp. And soon her owner appears - the mysterious and formidable Swamp Grandfather, from whom few have ever escaped.

Книга "Слідопит Бероїв" - це справжній витвір мистецтва, який переносить читача у захоплюючий світ сибірських пригод, наповнений таємницями і небезпеками. Оповідання про слідчого Олега Бероїва вражають своєю динамічністю та глибиною. Кожна історія, будь то "Студні води Арктики" чи "Болотний Дід", занурює у світ, де природа стає не лише фоном, а й активним учасником подій. Автор майстерно описує пейзажі, які вражають своєю красою та суворістю, а також створює напружену атмосферу, коли Бероєв розслідує загадкові смерті членів екіпажу. Особливо вразила історія про корупцію та браконьєрство, яка піднімає важливі соціальні питання. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом і глибокими персонажами.
