Author’s notes: This story can rightfully be perceived as a continuation of “The Sun over the Fjords. Anxious Dawn,” where we parted with Harald, son of Halfdan the Black, king of the Northern Route, under specific circumstances. The style of the modernized (different from the classical representatives, supplemented by literary canons), artistically designed Scandinavian saga has been preserved, and the approach has been updated under the influence of S. Undset, whose works in this genre received the Nobel Prize. In this edition, “Harald Fairhair and the Mirror of the Future” is the second book in the “On the Wings of the North Wind” series. Now the story can equally be attributed to the genre of historical prose, historical fantasy, and historical adventure. A detailed preamble to the story will meet the reader on the pages of the preface. The cover was created by Tatyana Evgenievna Dmitrenko.
