Життя Луція Егнація Сежана описується з такою деталізацією, що відчуваєш себе частиною цієї епохи. Автор не лише розкриває хитрощі та маніпуляції, якими користувався Сежан для досягнення влади, але й змушує задуматися про моральні аспекти політики. Хоча в тексті є деякі недоліки перекладу, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Книга викликає бажання дізнатися більше про римську історію та її героїв.
