More than forty years have passed since the short but deadly global nuclear war of 2012. Arzamas-16 was rebuilt. In 2053, it was already a mediocre city with several enterprises and an almost free workforce. And if for a week of easy work an ordinary latz, that is, an ordinary healthy person, received twenty coins, then a mutant could only count on ten. But he received even these ten coins by working in a gypsum mine from morning to night, so that after five years he would turn into a decrepit, half-blind wreck. The mutant, nicknamed the Collector, or simply Kol to his enemies, did not want to become a ruin, and hunching over in a plaster mine was not his intention. Kol preferred to make money in a different way - by hunting for heads, collecting not only “orders”, but sometimes even the customers themselves. And everything would have been fine if the hunter had not had his own hunters, mysterious elusive monsters living in radioactive ruins...

Персонаж Колекціонер вражає своєю хитрістю та рішучістю, адже він не просто мутант, а справжній мисливець, який намагається знайти своє місце у світі, де панує хаос. Читання цієї книги стало для мене справжнім досвідом, адже вона змушує задуматися про цінність життя, людяність та наслідки наших дій. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім досконалим, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Рекомендую всім шанувальникам жанру постапокаліптики та тих, хто любить глибокі, емоційні історії!
