After the death of their parents, twelve-year-old Samuel Blink and his younger sister Martha move to Norway to live with their only relative, Aunt Ida. Now they have to live with a boring, prim woman and her dog named Ibsen in a wooden house located on the edge of the forest, where there is not even a TV and absolutely nothing to do. In addition, Aunt Ida strictly forbids children from even approaching the forest. But one day Marta breaks her aunt’s ban and goes into the forest. Samuel goes in search of his sister and unexpectedly finds himself in a world full of dangers and incredible creatures - trolls, huldras, truthful pixies and flying heads.
