The book contains several cycles. "The African Trap" is a solid prose of sea life, full of characters, events and the sea itself. The “Game” cycle is a version of another life, a memory of another country, where in the jungle of words about democracy and freedom, like in a minefield, there are explosions and the death of lonely souls. The “Thirst” series is stories about love. The intonation of the characters is captivating: whether it sounds in a camp barracks or from the lips of an Odessa woman and a rogue sailor. And the heroine’s cry: “I am tormented by the thirst to rejoice and love!” could become the epigraph of the book.
