This collection contains small but vivid stories, each of which is reflected in our world. I wrote them under the impression of one or another event in my life: “The cry of the soul of an unborn child,” which gave the title to the entire collection, was written after I saw the Riga monument to unborn children; the story about a boy who wanted to see his sins was inspired by one of the examples of Ilia Shugaev’s sermon; for “Two Nicholas” thanks to my great-grandfathers, in whose family there really were two Nicholas brothers.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
