Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу, в якій розгортаються події, і показує, як шлюб з розрахунку може перетворитися на справжнє кохання, яке долає всі перешкоди. Я була вражена глибиною персонажів: Акбар, спочатку жорстокий і безсердечний, поступово відкриває своє серце, а Джодха, сильна і незалежна, стає його натхненням.
