Автор майстерно описує події, що відбуваються на двох континентах, і створює яскраві образи героїв, які не бояться протистояти системі. Головний герой, незважаючи на всі труднощі, завжди залишається вірним своїм принципам, що робить його надзвичайно привабливим для читача. Роман сповнений зради, любові та вірності, що додає глибини сюжету. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто любить історичні романи з елементами пригод, адже вона не лише розважає, а й змушує задуматися про важливі питання свободи та людської гідності.
