The most significant book is the one “sealed with seven seals”: it is from the opening of the seals by Christ that the visions begin to unfold, striking the imagination of the readers of the Apocalypse. The eschatological judgment of God is carried out through the opening of books, where all the deeds of people are recorded; the “book of life” is also revealed, in which are the names of those who will inherit eternal life. In the 10th chapter, the “little book” transmitted by the angel is a symbol of the prophetic ministry of the Seer.
