Спогади Вальтера Шелленберга, начальника зовнішньої розвідки Третього рейху, пропонують унікальний погляд на події, в яких він брав участь, а також на інтриги, які велися на найвищому рівні влади. Читачі можуть зануритися в захоплюючі розповіді про справу Зорге, змови проти Сталіна та інші секретні операції, які змінювали хід історії. Автор не намагається прикрасити свої спогади, а навпаки, відкрито говорить про жорстокість та безпринципність тих часів.
